“Horny shit. Very strong and intense, the cognac barrel is not too dominant at any point makes the whole but also very dry, furry and astringent. The intense bitter notes of grapefruit peel, bitter orange, as well as eucalyptus tea and menthol mouthwash, as well as a light sour cherry throat candy are just the hammer and extraordinary. Definitely imho a benchmark rum when it comes to Mauritius in general and the Grays distillery!”

“I do not know so many rums from Grays, but I would call this one rather atypical. I had this rum as a blind sample and have typed on tdl vintage 2001-2003 because of the mint note. Usually Grays has more of an orange note. Therefore somewhat atypical, but in any case very good and exciting.”
