By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
A fairly classic Foursquare, with a nose reminiscent of coconut, vanilla, spices, chocolate and wood on a background of caramel and toast. Nothing transcendent for the nostrils in this conventional profile. We return to the same spicy, woody framework on the palate, with this greediness on coconut, caramel and white chocolate. A very rounded profile, but lacking in life. For the time being, we don't suspect the 58.3%. The finish is of decent length, but brings no new flavors in particular. Spicy, roasted warmth mingles with wood, coconut and caramel. A rather platonic Foursquare that doesn't really stand out from other bottlings, except perhaps for a relatively high price compared to other Barbados vintages.
Assez peu expressif. Très rond , équilibré, pâtissier. Il passe tout seul... Mais trop simple, pas très excitant. Néanmoins un très bon moment !
