How does this rum taste?
Complex, woody Versailles for Demerara fans
If you already enjoy Demerara or Versailles styles and want more depth without brutal ABV, this hits the sweet spot of complexity, wood and dark chocolate bitterness.
Drinkers who dislike woody, slightly bitter profiles or are looking for very fruity, herbal, or high‑ester rums with a long, powerful finish.

Top Versailles with perfect bitter & wood balance.
Tasted three different Versailles together with DomM. The highlight of the evening after the disappointing Velier Beenleighs and the La Favorit. All three were very good, although in retrospect the Rum&Rock, which I had given an 8.5 at the time, was more herbal, with a profile similar to the 91 KFM. I find the TWCC and Cave Guildive more typical. But all three were very good and saved the evening.
Toll!
