How does this rum taste?
The Jamaica Edition 4 by The Colours of Rum is a 29-year-old pot still rum from Hampden distillery, Jamaica. Distilled in 1992 from molasses, it boasts 58.2% ABV and is part of a limited release of just 251 bottles. It presents a prominent aroma of pineapple, tropical fruits, and woodiness. On the palate, it delivers vibrant notes of tropical fruits, honey, and banana, complemented by a complex ester profile. great sipping Hampden. nice complexity... When it comes to 92 Hampdens, this is one of the few that I like. But it doesn't come close to the Rum Nation or the CDI. Overall a little too herbal and sour.
Excellent Hampden! Little acidity and great herbal spice. Has more wood than the sister cask (Ed. 5) and less funk. Makes really fun!

Palate Warm, medium intense, light ester, light wood, fruity, overripe, faint floral, light vegetal, light citrus, light banana, faint chocolate, faint mint. Finish Long and warm, light wood, fruits, light citrus, faint mint, faint floral, light ester. The empty glass has very nice chocolate and light marzipan.
