How does this rum taste?
Guyana Ed. 4, crafted at Uitvlugt Distillery and independently bottled by The Colours of Rum, offers a remarkable tasting experience. This limited-release rum was distilled in 1990 from molasses using a Double Wooden Pot Still, then aged for 31 years, and bottled at cask strength with a 48.4% ABV. Tasting notes highlight an intense aroma profile, with dominant anise, barrel, and spicy apple notes. The palate, predominantly dry and spicy, is complemented by subtle nutty and barrel nuances. Reviewers appreciate its well-balanced taste, mild wood influence, and unexpected sulphuric finish, though some find it lacks complexity in flavor.

Relaxed 1990 PM with decent drinking strength and mild wood influence.
Trotz der nur leicht erhöhten Trinkstärke sehr dicht an Nase und Gaumen mit sowohl an PM-als auch an Versailles erinnernden Noten. Ausdrucksstark mit Würze und Fasseinflüssen, gepaart mit an Bleistiftspähne erinnernder Mineralik sowie dezenten Früchten. Schönes, wenn auch im Direktvergleich etwas geradlinigeres Bouquet, das auch beim zweiten und dritten Versuch noch Neues bietet.
More relaxed uitvlugt. Taste spicy bitter after chewed sucked pencil and dry with some apple. Skin me now but taste not really from the stool...
