“Excellent Demerara rum! The nose is complex and concentrated, and really makes you want more. On the palate you will then find the perfect blend of delicate bitter notes, spice and dark chocolate. Absolute recommendation!”

“Venerable old and so full-bodied. Intense and delicious on the nose, totally awesome: spicy, slightly woody yet fruity. A mix of tropical fruits, especially papaya, black currant and cherry. Plus a pleasant freshness with mint, light wood acidity and a touch of vinegar. Sweetness of maple syrup and forest honey as well as toffee and milk chocolate.Palate: wow, what intense complexity. And very tasty. Woody already, but not at all distracting. It starts off tart through this, slightly bitter and immediately has an intense toasty, nutty, chocolaty and mocha-like aromatic texture. Slightly minty and and licorice at the same time. A subtle tobacco note alongside malty, dark and caramel flavors. This nose and the taste curve are already very good for me”

“Strange why this PM89, which unlike the otherPM89 has been stored the longest, has the highest alcohol content! Now, at the second tasting I like it even better! Taste-wise, it has the typical complex Port Mourant notes with borderline bitter/tea notes.”
