How does this rum taste?
RumX members love its bright citrus—lime and orange peel—over a herbal, sugarcane core that feels fresh and distinctly Bologne. At 54.9% cask strength, it shows good balance with light wood, spice and a medium, herbal finish. Several note it opens with time in the glass. A limited run of 1000 bottles, and while some find the alcohol a bit sharp and the value debated, many enjoy its green agricole character.

A roundup of citrus and a mixture of herbs and plant part that reminds me much more of a white than an aged rum!You can feel all the Bologne cane here!I just would have liked a little more complexity!
Fresh, yet quite expressive. Unfortunately, on the palate with a little alcoholic sting.
8,1:On the nose, the first impression we get is a sugarcane honey, citrus, spicy wood notes like pepper, vanilla, roasted nuts, as cane is herbaceous, flowery and vegetal with hay and tea. On aeration, more fruits arise, mostly citrus with a lime, grapefruit and orange peel, cane gets darker with licorice, a help of roastedness, we notice cocoa, burnt sugar. 8:On the palate, the attack is vegetal with sugarcane honey, tea, hay, herbaceous and flowery cane, slightly mineral, spices like pepper, nutmeg and vanilla, roasted wood with dark chocolate, nuts and faint caramel, as more fruity tones attack our tasting buds with citrus, pear, yellow fruits and raisins. 8,1:The finish is long, dry and tannic, similar as the palate, but now earthy and with crunchy bread.. Edit:17.8.25
Relatively alcoholic in the nose as well as on the palate. Citrus fruits and clear floral notes ... light spice and chocolate. All in all quite ok but somehow it doesn't pick me up ... Nothing particularly memorable.
