The "Nicaragua" by Famille Ricci is a 22-year-old rum distilled in Nicaragua from molasses using a column still, boasting a substantial 60.4% ABV. It's praised for its rich woody, vanilla, and dark chocolate aromas, while the palate delights with praline, woody, and cherry nuances. Despite its appealing dessert-like profile, the rum's integration of alcohol is mixed, with some finding it a bit harsh. While loved for its non-sweetened authenticity, and noted for medium to long finishes, opinions on complexity and price vary. Overall, it delivers a warm and indulgent rum experience ideal for dessert pairing.

"#4498 24.11.2023 The price is a bit steep compared to what you get (in my mind). Lightly fruity with nice pastries and nutty notes. The palate is fresh and has nice cherry notes. The finish is medium long, lightly dry with nice spices. The empty glass has some vanilla and light caramel."
