This is one of the gems hidden in the rum world. A weird one indeed, but really pleasant. On the nose, cherries and chocolate (Mon Chery anyone? Or it is an Italian only treat?), but also varnish and paint, plus a metallic note. Drink side, might be a car repair shop, dust and metal, some woodiness and astringency. Not an easy one, nor a rum you can drink everyday, but wow, a great one
Very pleasant: intense yet airy. On tangy red fruits with lovely woody aromas.
Nez : fuits confits/floral/épices/métallique Bouche liquoreuse : chocolat/épices/mûre/vernis Longue finale expressive : pruneaux/chocolat noir/réglisse J’aime vraiment bien ce jus. Encore une belle sélection de L’Esprit. Je vais essayer de m’intéresser un peu plus à cette distillerie …
