The Ecuador No. 19 is a limited release rum from the Romero & Sons distillery in Ecuador. It was distilled in 2005 and aged for 17 years before being bottled at cask strength with an ABV of 69%. It has a nutty, floral, and cherrywood aroma with notes of green apple, apricot, lime peel, caramel and black pepper on the palate. There are also hints of tobacco in the finish. This Spanish rum is surprisingly tame despite its high alcohol content and offers an interesting mix that makes for an enjoyable glass.
