Nobilis Romero & Sons Ecuador No. 19 2005
Highly regarded as an intense, characterful Spanish-style cask strength rum with roasted nut, chocolate and fruity notes. Dry, warm and interesting, especially for those seeking something different from typical sweet Spaniards.
Fans of dry, high-strength Spanish-style rums who want roasted nut, bitter chocolate and subtle fruit instead of heavy sweetness, and who are comfortable taming 69% with air or a splash of water.

How does Nobilis Romero & Sons Ecuador No. 19 2005 taste?
Dry Spanish-style bruiser with nuts & chocolate
If you like punchy but relatively clean Spanish-style rums, this is a fun curveball: big ABV, dry nutty chocolate and fruit, offering more intensity than the usual sweet crowd-pleasers.
Beginners, anyone sensitive to alcohol burn, or drinkers expecting a soft, sweet Latin sipper; also not ideal for those who dislike metallic or slightly bitter, woody notes.

This rum is like a chameleon: Fresh in the glass, it shows floral and fruity, with notes of pome fruit and citrus. With time, smoke aromas come to the fore. On the finish, one tastes light tobacco notes. The Spanish style is nevertheless recognizable the entire time, but due to the high alcohol content you have very strong flavors (and accompanying spiciness). A very interesting rum, which in my opinion is somewhat underestimated.
A pretty good release in my mind. Not super fruity but I like the nutty part and the roasted wood. Lightly dry on the palate but also warm and nice. Well balanced overall profile and the price tag is pretty OK.
Durchaus ansprechendes Profil.
