Oliver & Oliver Ron Esclavo XO Cask 2016
Highly praised as an intense, syrupy, dessert-style cask strength with well-integrated alcohol and loads of caramel, vanilla and dried fruit. A focused, sweet powerhouse that many find remarkably smooth for 65%.
Those who enjoy very sweet, liqueur-like rums at high strength and want a rich, sticky caramel-vanilla sipper with big flavor and low perceived burn.

Sweet cask-strength dessert hammer
If you like rich, sweet Dominicans like other Esclavo or Opthimus bottlings but want them turned up to 11 in strength and intensity, this is the logical next step.
Anyone avoiding added sugar, drinkers sensitive to 65% ABV, and rum fans who prefer dry, unsweetened or funky styles over liqueur-leaning profiles.

Amazingly mild for 65% alc., wonderfully integrated
Extremely sweet, extremely poorly integrated alcohol and just totally incongruous. 🤦🏼♂️
Quite a classic aroma for a bourbon-fired solera. Well-integrated alcohol, fairly thick, lots of aroma, a note of vanilla, wood and candied fruit, quite strong on the finish. A very fine discovery.
