14.03.2023 Enjoying some samples at home. Colour Medium to dark in colour. Nose Wood, light roasted, berries, faint coffee, light herbal, light glue, light floral. Palate Oily, wood, medium spicy, natural sweetness, spice, light coffee, cinnamon, light caramel, light herbs. Finish Long and warm, spicy, wood, light roasted, light tannins, banana, light caramel, light smoke. Needs to rest to really open up.
Full taste, well integrated, nice and typical Diamond profile. Unfortunately Diamond is not my favourite Demerara
This received a few positive reviews from those touting it - was surprised when it tasted relatively run of the mill. A few notes on there that tasted a bit off and left me not wanting to really explore it more. Tried to open it up with water but not much to it.
It was fine - not particularly complex nor well integrated. A disappointing selection for the Canadian market.
