The Nectar Diamond (Port Mourant) The Nectar Of The Daily Dram PM 2020 2yr 60,8%
The "The Nectar Of The Daily Dram PM" rum is distilled in Guyana at the Diamond (Port Mourant) distillery, renowned for its potent pot still creations. Bottled by The Nectar, this rum was distilled in 2020 from molasses and aged for just two years, showcasing remarkable depth for its youth. With an ABV of 60.8%, it delivers a rich aromatic profile of butterscotch, vanilla, and banana. On the palate, spicy and woody notes dominate, accompanied by caramel and pecan undertones. Users appreciate its surprising complexity, though some find the alcohol integration harsh, suggesting decanting before enjoying.

“Colour of the SBS is significantly lighter vs. The Nectar. On the nose both clearly deliver (unaged) PM notes. However the cask influence on The Nectar is much more noticeable as the colour suggested. Clear point for The Nectar. On the palate, this SBS is significantly sweeter and more „virgin oak forward“ so to say. Alcohol is better integrated vs. The Nectar. While there are also (oaky) sweet notes and vanilla, The Nectar delivers a much darker profile which is more noticeable PM. Overall a hint to sharp for my liking.”
