How does this rum taste?
RumX members love this classic Hampden <>H for its explosive high‑ester profile: ripe pineapple and tropical fruit with a funky glue/nail‑polish nose. The palate layers pineapple and vanilla with a dry, spicy drive, leading to a long, warm finish. At 68.3% cask strength, some note heat, yet many praise the integration after breathing. A limited release of 219 bottles and a popular choice among 76 reviewers.

We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
Beautiful 2013 <>H that requires concentration and a lot of time to breathe. Compared to the other 2013/2014s, much more pleasant mouthfeel and noticeably more tropical fruit. Great value for money.
This one was a retaste and I stick to my original score. A very nice Jamaican. Another pretty good Jamaica and again the ABV has bee integrated really well. Intense and funky with fruits and lightly dry on the palate and finish. I like the roasted wood in the profile. It draws very nice curtains in the glass.
For me, not quite the level of the Nobilis 2013, but very awesome release. The tropical portion of the maturation is clearly noticeable. On a par with the Warehouse #1 bottling.
On the nose, I like it well. The high ABV stings against expect hardly. And besides the fermented fruit, gluten / varnish notes obligatory in <> H, here also cream, cake batter, baked apple, candied. Pineapple, toasty and salty on the palate. The finish is not super long, but neatly tightens the cheeks (astringent).
