How does this rum taste?
The S.B.S Jamaica EMB, crafted at the Clarendon distillery and bottled by 1423 World Class Spirits, is a 7-year-old molasses rum distilled in 2015. This limited edition, cask strength Jamaican rum features a robust 65.7% ABV. The nose is dominated by intense tropical fruit and ester notes, complemented by smoky, herbal, and banana aromas. On the palate, it offers an array of tropical fruit, esters, and smokiness, with hints of leather and roasted elements. Users commend its complex profile and the well-integrated alcohol, despite the somewhat short finish. A distinct Jamaican presence is noted, making it a captivating sip.

Fruity EMB nose that falls off quite slightly on the palate compared to older counterparts. In the finish, he has tasty neat power.
Now we're getting there. I could get the nose as soon as the glass was poured. Typical Jamaica fruity and esters right in your face. Love the spices and smoky wood binding everything together. Nice and warm finish though kind of short 😊

Quite complex and interesting given its relatively young age. Alcohol is extremly well integrated. This is just a very nice MM bottling. More of this stuff, please 🙂
