„Very good, but due to the proportion of the blend from the Virgin Oak, this rum needs a lot of time in the glass to put down the pungent smell. Once it unfolds, you have a nice semi-complex Foursquare.“

„Solider foursquare und schöne rote Frucht note durchs Ex Madeira Fass, dazu Milchschokolade, insgesamt aber relativ wenig von der typischen Kokos Banane Note dafür mehr geröstete Nüsse, Kräuter, Waldhonig und Tannennadeln. Das Virgin oak ist mir persönlich dann doch etwas zu dominant! Lecker aber nicht outstanding.“

„Spannendes Tasting. Und insgesamt auch sehr lecker, wenn auch für mich nicht ganz so lecker wie viellicht der Ruf der Foursquare/Velier Abfüllungen ist. Beim Triptych war mir der Holzeinfluss wesentlich zu dominant. Positive Erinnerungen an Kinderschokolade kamen durch. Beim Patrimonio Assoziationen in der Nase zu indischem Korma und Wassermelone. Aber scharfkantig und trocken. Principa fand ich erst sehr geil. Schöne Fruchtkomponenten und dennoch FS-DNA. Aber im Abgang ist mit der Alkohol zu bissig. Sassafras gefällt mit gut. Plenipotenzario sticht für mich mit Komplexität heraus. Sehr geil. Aber klarer Überflieger ist der Destino. Fruchtig, harmonisch, komplex und sehr lecker! Aus meiner Erinnerung auch einen Ticken besser als der 2006. Ob er das Geld wert ist, dass man heute zur Hand nehmen muss bezweifle ich jedoch.“

„im direkten Vergleich mit dem Plenipotenziario wirkt der Triptych ein wenig ruppiger. Das zweite Fass, das Madeira Cask wird von dem dritten, dem Virgin Oak Cask, doch ziemlich überlagert, so dass etwas die Komplexität flöten geht. Trotzdem ein sehr guter FS!“

„Eine Süße, blumig-fruchtige Nase. Tropische Früchte und Kokos mit Honig. Dazu eine dezente, holzig Würze und leicht rauchig. Vanille und Tabak kommen durch, aber immer noch umhüllt von dieser blumigen Süße. Sehr angenehm. Vollmundig am Gaumen. Hier dominieren die Würze und das Holz. Eine gewisse bittere Süße macht sich breit. Jetzt kommt etwas metallisches, grobes. Das bitter-fruchtige erinnert mich an Johannisbeere. An Würze finde ich Muskat, Vanille und Schokolade. Im Abgang weiter holzig-bitter aber ehr Weich, mit Karamell und etwas Johannisbeere. Ein Guter. Barbados ist aber nicht meins“
