The Wild Series Rum Jamaica No. 26 VRW, from Long Pond distillery, showcases bold aromas of glue and esters complemented by vanilla and tropical fruits like mango. Distilled in 2005 from molasses using a pot still, this cask-strength rum boasts a high ABV of 68.4%. It's aged for over 16 years, lending a rich, complex flavor profile dominated by tropical notes and a touch of barrel warmth. Limited to 269 bottles, it presents an intense taste and aromas that are intriguingly balanced yet powerful, capturing both the adventurous spirit and the traditional robust character of Jamaican rums.

On the nose tropical fruit basket (papaya, mango...), glue, caramel and that typical vinegar-iodine note. On the palate tropical fruit, dark chocolate and bacon. The 68.4% is well integrated....and VRW Marque is just tops at LP! I would have liked to try the sister barrel....
Début marqué par l’acétone, le miel d’acacia, l’encaustique, attaque nerveuse en bouche sur l’alcool puis un joli développement aromatique fruité exotique de complexité moyenne surtout soutenu en longueur par l’alcool, au final assez intéressant sans être non plus explosif.
A rum from the Samples de Luxe forward calendar. A rather violent nose with glue, old varnished wood, tropical fruit and a certain sweetness. The palate also attacks hard, but more on the fruit (papaya) and even a very pleasant vegetal and floral side. A touch of varnished wood, as on the nose. The finish is long, warm, spicy and black-tea-like. A false badass with complexity and a certain sweetness. I love it!
