Blackadder Diamond Raw Cask Rum 2011
Most enjoy the fruity nose, spicy woody palate and strong value. Critics find the alcohol a bit rough, the aroma underwhelming, and the rum somewhat young. Consensus: solid, characterful everyday sipper.
Fans of dry, spicy Guyanese rums and whisky drinkers who enjoy cask‑strength, minimally filtered spirits with a mix of tropical fruit, wood, smoke and nutty notes at a fair price.

Price to quality is really good on this bottle. I do like that you can see that it's a true raw cask. The bottle we sampled had a nice pile of sediment at the bottom. Really nice bahan style rum in the flavours with a touch of whisky in the back. Nice balance between wood and spices as well as the nice fruitiness. Warm and spicy on the palate but after resting for 15-20 minutes it's ready.
A rum I brought while on a getaway in April 2024. Very heavy in the nose, with hints of olives and molasses. It has a depth in flavor with notes of nut, olive-oil and a dried fruityness in the aftertaste.
02-03-2024 Tasted at Whiskymessen.dk Ninth rum was this Diamond from Blackadder. Missing some character. A bit to suddle
The aroma is rather disappointing. Palate is better but still tastes quite young. When tasting this blind, I would not guess it's from Guyana. Not my favourite bottling from Blackadder, but price-quality is still ok.
