The "Kill Devil" was produced in Guyana at the Diamond distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Hunter Laing. It was distilled in 2004 from Molasses and then aged for 17 years. The rum has an ABV of 55,9%. 2004 (17 years): we lose - 7% but we gain 5 years of ageing. We are more on dried fruits and even roasted. More empyreumatic notes (leather/cigar box). Personally I preferred the 12 years old to this older version whose barrel has marked more the juice. And here I find more the Versailles profile. Strange ...
Rhumtour 2025 Good but not outstanding. Nose is a bit toned down, maybe it needs to rest. But cant wait that long 😆. A herbal profile in taste. I got some TDL notes somehow. Misses complexity, wouldnt really recommend.
