I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 46,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
I have Kill Devil Panama 11 y, 13 y and 15 y and really like them all, my favourite bottles from Panama. Not that much difference, some more oak, smokiness and a little bit rounder the longer it's been aged.
B caramel chocolat. Gourmand maisAlcool puissant. Final courte. Agréable sans plus
On The Rocks: On the nose you get mild fruit and floral notes with slight spice and woody notes, has a very gentle aroma. Taste shows an immediate punch of alcohol and burn with a honey sweetness and lingering fruit and floral notes. Finish is short in taste but medium with mild sweetness and continued burn. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose it smells like Pepsi zero. Taste has a very sweet hit of diluted honey very mild fruit and floral notes. Finish is short. Overall it is ok mixed but not great. Suggested on the Rocks as a sipper.
