My 100th review! 🥳 The nose is alot less fruit forward than expected from the official tasting notes. Woody and roasted with a red fruit/cherry hit on the back. Reminds me of a cherry flapjack. The palate is a medium on the dry to sweet scale. There's definitely signs of age with big barrel notes. But this is balanced out with papaya and a bitter orange towards the finish. The finish is long and there's a sweetness that's only really present here. Papaya still and the bitter orange. Possibly a hint of tobacco. Overall, it's delightful. Very well balanced. Benefits from a drop of water but once it opens up it's devine.
The nose is fruity and fresh. The palate is vanilla, caramel and butterscotch with fruity background. Finish was longer than expected. I enjoyed it very much.
Lovely stuff. Some soft funk with some woody and chocolate notes in the finish. No alcoholic burn, pleasant sipper!
Fiji markers are there, cognac cask might bring too much
