“The few bottlings from Mauritius, which I was allowed to taste so far, could not convince me yet.Therefore, this Labourdonnais surprised me positively. Vegetable and spicy notes predominate, which I expect from a sugar cane juice-based rum. Light vanilla, citrus and barrel aromas round out the impression in the nose and on the palate.Only the for me somewhat low alcohol content of 42% is to be criticized by me. Personally, I would have liked a few percent more. Special points again receives the XO for its surprisingly long finish, which leaves very pleasant Agricole notes on the palate.”
