HSE Parcellaire #1 Canne d‘Or
A floral, woody agricole with vanilla and citrus recurring across reviews. Especially enjoyable as a casual sipper—one to try if you like cane-forward spirits with gentle complexity.
Balanced agricole, lovely vanilla and wood, great everyday sipper

How does this rum taste?
- Komplexe Nase
- excellent as both easy sipper
- pour le prix c'est génial
HSE Parcellaire #1 Canne d'Or leans heavily on vanilla, wood, sugarcane, and subtle fruit—notes echoed throughout RumX member feedback. It’s described as a "komplexe Nase" and an "absolute Preis-Leistungs-Monster" by @Oliver, while @Godspeed calls out "blond tobacco, citrus, and orange". The palate is often marked by agricole freshness, gentle sweetness, and a floral side that persists alongside young wood. Overall, RumX tasters find this approachable and balanced, with the 45% ABV well integrated. Not for everyone—one user finds it "kind of like agricole whisky. Not my cup of rum." Still, the majority agree it offers a lot for its modest price and brings genuine character for both newcomers and more seasoned palates.

"This one was a surprise especially when looking at the price tag. Lovely Agricole notes mixed really well with fruits, cane and some vanilla."
"Goûté au RhumFest 2024 : Encore un HSE au rapport qualité-prix très intéressant.. Un agricole typique mais bien réalisé. On y retrouve les marqueurs habituels sur ces embouteillages donc pas de grande surprise. Vraiment très agréable."
"Update: just bought a bottle of this and I have to push my score a little higher. For 39€ this may be one of the craziest deals out there. Beautiful blond tobacco flavors, excellent as both easy sipper as well as in ti-punch. First review: At 36€ this is a steal and I understand why it won a gold medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. Made from a single variety of cane, R570, from a single patch of plantation land. Citrus, blond tobacco, hint of orange, and lots of clearly discernible vanilla. It’s not fully a “coup de cœur” for me but for the price it is great."
"Great, complex nose. A great creaminess and a pleasant sweetness emerge on the palate. Issue price under 40€. An absolute value-for-money monster! 🚀"
