- Smooth sipping
The HSE Parcellaire #1 Canne d'Or is a rhum agricole from Martinique, crafted at the Distillerie du Simon in 2016 using sugar cane juice and aged for 6 years. This offering is distinguished by its balanced complexity; notes of sugarcane, vanilla, and young wood complement a flavor profile rich in spice and agricole characteristics. Users appreciate its reasonable price for the depth it offers, highlighting the rum’s pleasant nose and smooth palate. While some find its agricole nature not to their personal taste, others commend the blend of fruity and woody elements, noting it fares well both neat and in cocktails like ti-punch. Perfect for enthusiasts and beginners alike.

"This one was a surprise especially when looking at the price tag. Lovely Agricole notes mixed really well with fruits, cane and some vanilla."

"Goûté au RhumFest 2024 : Encore un HSE au rapport qualité-prix très intéressant.. Un agricole typique mais bien réalisé. On y retrouve les marqueurs habituels sur ces embouteillages donc pas de grande surprise. Vraiment très agréable."

"Great, complex nose. A great creaminess and a pleasant sweetness emerge on the palate. Issue price under 40€. An absolute value-for-money monster! 🚀"

"Update: just bought a bottle of this and I have to push my score a little higher. For 39€ this may be one of the craziest deals out there. Beautiful blond tobacco flavors, excellent as both easy sipper as well as in ti-punch. First review: At 36€ this is a steal and I understand why it won a gold medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. Made from a single variety of cane, R570, from a single patch of plantation land. Citrus, blond tobacco, hint of orange, and lots of clearly discernible vanilla. It’s not fully a “coup de cœur” for me but for the price it is great."
