How does this rum taste?
Vieux Rhum - Brut de Fût, produced at Foursquare Distillery in Barbados, is an 11-year-old rum distilled from molasses and bottled by Les Frères de la Côte. With a cask strength of 65.1% ABV, it captivates drinkers with its coconut, vanilla, grape, and woody notes. User reviews praise its robust character, akin to classic Foursquare with a touch of dried fruit. Noted for a well-integrated, warm taste despite the high alcohol content, it aligns with the revered ECS series. The finish balances cocoa and wood undertones, offering a long, rewarding experience but may be slightly sweet for some.

One of the better Foursquares thanks to the finish.
Classic foursquare from the start with a great nose of caramel, bourbon and some grape. It’s a solid independent bottling and as good as some of the ECS offerings. Incredibly drinkable and well integrated given the 65.1% ABV. Mouth is greedy with some vanilla, warm cooking spices and grape punch. Finish is cocoa and wood with coffee and some chocolate. All in all a top notch foursquare, not worthy of another bottle but enjoyed it
In aroma and taste classic barbados, I think even blindly could hit foursquare. In aroma, caramel, vanilla and grapes. In taste it starts out as a totally classic foursquare, but after a few moments the grapes come in. Long finish.
Excellent Foursquare!
