“Aged a proud 18 years (14 of them tropical), in cognac and TDL barrels, and I imagine you can tell by the nose. Less the strawberry and bourbon vanilla notes (as with the CdI Savanna 2007/12 bottled for Germany), rather grape / raisin,wood and leather. In the background a slightly minty freshness. On the palate vanilla, bacon, pipe tobacco, transitioning to toasted fiber and a slightly dirty menthol note. Certainly not everyone's cup of tea, but for me it fits together well.”

“Die Nase empfinde ich relativ verhalten, dafür ist der Gaumen recht kräftig und eher auf der würzig, holzigen Seite, etwas frisches und gedörrtes rotes Obst ist auch dabei! Im Abgang ist viel Menthol und etwas Frucht, Nicht überragend aber gut 👍🏻”
