To Renaissance
"A very delicate melange with the Fino cask, really strong aromas of agricole vegetale Charakter, sucar Cane and molasses, cocoa butter and rosemary, on the palate this continues almost the same with some more spices of vanilla and cinnamon. It ends strong with a dried lime slice, rosemary and the residue of an empty glass of fino. Very impressive"
"It’s an interesting rum and glad I had the opportunity to try it. On the younger side but fairly well integrated given the age. The nose has elements of pot still ester and more tropical notes, with a full on mouth where the lack of aging comes through more. Some light sweeter notes with barrel influence and finish with some spice. It handles the ABV well with a shortish finish with some herbs and tar notes. It’s a bit hard to place and my first Taiwanese rum so no direct comparisons. Worth trying although the RRP at £175 brings it into the same league as some true big guns!"
