J. Bally Velier 70th Anniversary 2006
Highly praised agricole with fresh fruit, floral notes and gentle oak. Easy to drink yet characterful, especially after resting in the glass.

How does this rum taste?
Fresh, floral agricole crowd-pleaser
You’ll likely enjoy this if you like refined, fruity agricoles: it drinks softly at 43% but still brings enough floral fruit and oak to stay interesting.
High-proof hunters or those wanting very intense, spicy or funky profiles; also not ideal if you need a long, powerful finish.

Clean Agricole that is fresh and fruity with a lot of nice spices and only a hint of barrel. I recommend letting it rest for at least 15 minutes before giving it a go.
Exquisiter Agricole. Viel Geschmack. Parfum, frisch und schräge Assoziationen von Kellerabteil und Blauschimmelkäse (Nase) 🤔. Zugänglich und dennoch Charakter. Nur der Abgang ist leicht zu kurz. Mir gefällt er.
Yes, floral and woody. And really mild. Nothing special. But now the highlight: Accidentally poured some of the rhum over my hand and then clearly smelled apricot jam on my skin. Simply delicious - and worth 3 plus points for me.
Second tasting: still good, but I deducted 2 points because it seems much paler than the cask strength version. A strong, spicy agricole rum. I like it, although this style is not my favorite. Insanely long finish that lingers on the palate for ages!
