Beautiful 1990 Uitvlugt with a pleasant balance of tropical fruit flavors, wood influences, subtle spices and some minerality. Great drinking rum with a pleasant complexity.
Almond?Marzipan? I do not know. A little sweet. Quite solid.
Wood, malt, spices, pencil shavings, licorice, herbs and some plum on the nose. Unfortunately quite watery and thin on the palate. Also woody, with pencil shavings, spices, malt and little fruit. Quite dry.
11.06.2019 Enjoying some samples in good company. Colour Light in colour. Nose Light wood, diesel, light banana, cinnamon, spice, light medicinal, faint herbs. Palate Light wood, light plum, light diesel, faint salt, banana, spice, light mineral, anise, medium spicy. Finish Medium to long, light wood, faint smoke, light prunes, anise, light banana, light mineral, medium spicy. Needs to rest in order to really open up properly.
