Not a particularly strong nose. Quite fruity but also found it quite dry. Fair bit of burn to it. Am more of a fan of spiced rums, so doesn’t really work for me.
The start on sipping is woody and that falls off into a fruity banana/ tropical fruits with a hint of floral from the unaged agricole. It’s a very complex palette with a lot of different layers, everytime you sip it you find a new flavour. The nosing is full of wood spices, agricole. Just like the taste, it has layers, there’s alittle chocolate a very small pleasant alcohol smell, sweet molasses a nice amount of fruit from the Jamaican and now I’ve had a longer amount of nosing I can smell sweet creamy over ripe banana chocolate. For the price ~ £39 it’s a banger for people that like both fruit tropical fruits, wood and light fresh agricole, buy it, it’s amazing I love it it’s definitely worth buying again, don’t get me wrong I love a single like Appleton 8 with that strong fruity notes but I can’t get enough of the agricole mixes. A very strong 8.5/10
