Rum Explorer Thailand is a five-year-aged rum from the Pathum Thani distillery, bottled by Château du Breuil. Distilled from molasses using a column still, this 42% ABV rum features prominent vanilla and coconut aromas, complemented by woody and caramel flavors. Users describe a balance of vanilla, coconut, and honey on the nose, paired with woody spiciness and hints of caramel on the palate. While some find its profile reminiscent of familiar Thai rums and American oak influence, others note a pronounced alcoholic presence and a short finish. It offers an intriguing but straightforward tasting experience at a reasonable price.

"Good night dear community. This rum tastes very alcoholic, but not too bad, still very tasty. Once again, I can taste a slight vanilla and caramel note. Delicious, good night :)"

"Part of 1423 "24 days of rum" Christmas rum-calendar. In the nose I found vanilla and some sweetness. In the notes I found some molasses and pepper, with a very fast fleeting kind of spicy aftertaste."

"24 Days of Rum 2023, Blue Edition, Day 1 I initially like it much better on the nose than on the palate. Unfortunately, the fruity aromas fade within a few minutes and all that remains is a little vanilla and wood. After about 10 minutes, the palate is also furry and only alcoholic. Without wanting to be mean: a bit boring."

"An interesting product that I was able to re-taste recently. All in all, we've got some great stuff from Château du Breuil, admittedly still rather woody and marked by the barrel, but rather pleasant and reasonably priced!"
