No rum for the sober palate. The Versailles profiles need with me 3-4cl until they arrive. First impression was not great with all. Later, however, they unfold some complexity. This one still seems slightly watered down.
Not a loudmouth, rather a fine spirit. But I really like the nose, green apple, tic tac orange (if anyone still knows it), herbs, vanilla crescents, baking mix. (Slightly spicy) spice on the palate and plenty of barrel/tannins on the finish.
A typical Versailles, yet very astringent and dry on the palate, in contrast to the nose.
