A fairly young Tahitian rum that benefits from the advantages of ageing and raw distillate. The nose offers a lovely combination of honeyed cane, flowers, citrus (lemon) and sweet spices (vanilla), with the added bonus of young woodiness that comes through relatively well. There's a slight alcoholic note of cognac, which is not unpleasant. The attack on the palate is suave, with the sweetness of cane, the freshness of citrus fruit and a greedy vanilla woodiness. The syrupy texture accentuates this sensation of sweetness. This is a soft, pleasant rum that can be enjoyed as a Ti Vieux. The finish is short but intense, with vegetal and floral notes. Sugar cane, young wood, vanilla and fruitiness join in unison for a brief moment before disappearing from the palate. A good exotic reference for a change from the usual destinations.
Not a fan on the nose but very pleasant taste. Nice surprise and discovery
