How does this rum taste?
Huge peachy Australian fruit bomb
If you enjoy powerful yet fruity cask strength rums like high-proof Barbados or Guyana, this Beenleigh will likely hit the spot with its peach ice tea and roasted spice character.
Those sensitive to high ABV, beginners, or drinkers who dislike dry, woody or slightly bitter notes and prefer lighter, lower‑proof or very sweet rums.
A delicious rum, without being a marvel of complexity. The combination of a smooth mouthfeel and bitter aftertaste is interesting, but rum aficionados aren't missing out on anything if they haven't had this rum in their glass. Cognac or whiskey fans will probably like it. At €699 for 0.5 liters, the price is at the very top end of the scale. Perhaps appropriate in theory for a rum from 1977, but far too expensive for me personally. Regardless of the price, I still like the '77 bottling slightly better than the '82 MRJB, which simply rushed through my mouth.

What a board! This is probably the most quaffable and at the same time the oldest Australian I have drunk so far... Incredibly intense after peach iced tea, apricot compote and mirabelle jam with vanilla, peach brandy in a wooden barrel (like the gölles I have), surprisingly little wood notes, some floral honey, jasmine tea, croissant with bitter orange jam and just extremely delicious and a surprisingly long finish. The alcohol content is also extremely well integrated.... In short: I'm just blown away by this Australian!😍 I really would not have expected!🐨 Am glad that I got me 2 bottles!
Very harmonious and delicious. The alcohol is perfectly integrated.
Very delicious australian🤤 Lovely taste of peaches like a mix of peaches icetea and rum 😜 In mouth reminds me also like biting in a fresh habanero chili 😬 The alcohol is integrated very well. In direct comparsion of beenleigh 2007 = RC > RA🥃
Heute 5 Australier im Glas. 1.
