How does this rum taste?
The Rum Artesanal Jamaica Rum MRJB is a subtle blend featuring tropical fruits, caramel, and light wood notes. Despite being aged for 45 years, it lacks robustness and has a short finish. The high price tag does not match its light complexity.

“More restrained and less aromatic in direct comparison to its younger predecessor (1982 vintage). Some tropical fruit and wood influence - but everything very subdued. On the palate then quite astringent and spicy - but also quite thin. Definitely tasty and interesting - but with the impressive key data, the rum is then but clearly below the (high) expectations. Since I liked RX11744 better.”

“Definitely more exciting than the 1982 MRJB. Beautiful combination of tropical fruits, some caramel and milk chocolate, a little bit of mint and surprisingly little wood for 45 years old. I like well but is me 1. overall still a bit too thin and 2. is the price of 700 € RRP for me not justified...”
