Rum Artesanal Guyana

Mega product. The rum remains on the tongue for several minutes. Very intense taste experience.

Uitvlugt we have had more often in the glass and this bottling plays for me further up. Because he is not yet over the zenith and fully tastes like a wooden plank, but offers a more complex picture. Of course, licorice, a whole bed of herbs and the typical pencil finish can be found here again. The alcohol is well integrated. Bitter it is too, no question. But you know all that if you're interested in Uitvlugt bottlings. And because this one turned out particularly herbal, this bottle will find its lovers. Price: 199 euros per 0.5 liter.

Tasted at the 11th GRF in Berlin: Good Uitvlugt, but nothing more. No highlight and therefore rather one of many.

Very herbaceous, nice smell

Side by side with other 91 PMs, this is very much 200% on herbal and anise notes on the nose. Gives it a very intense and distinct profile, however, losing some elegance and more suttle notes present in the other bottlings. Palate also dominated by anise and liquorice. This is nice and intensively presented. However, again quite a bit of the more suttle and interesting notes which are present in other bottlings is lost along the way.

Alcoholized, woody, herbal tea.In the nose still slightly fruity next to the herbs. Then very woody and herbal on the palate. Interesting, but not quite round.

This is a very well balanced rum overall and the wood hasn't become dominant but let's the fruit shine in the back. Nice and warm with a metallic hint on the palate.

Ohne andere Bewertungen gelesen zu haben (hinterher ist man immer klüger 🤷): Ziemlich kräutriger Rum, in der Nase ordentlich Zitrus (Kumquat?), am Gaumen lässt die alkoholische Schärfe erst spät nach, dann enorme Kräuterpalette, aber blind hätte ich ihn viel eher in Jamaica verortet, erinnert mich stark an den letzten Worthy Park von RA - und den fand ich anders als viele andere richtig gut. 😋

Ordentlich Kraut! Muss man mögen, ich mag es!

Edit: Insgesamt ist dies schon ein sehr kräftiger Vertreter seiner Art. Ich habe es als sehr spannend gefunden, dass er sich von den anderen abhebt. Es ist mal wieder ein Rum, den man eben mag oder nicht. Wie so oft bei RA. Danke an DomM beim Sampletauschen kurz probiert.

A very good Uitvlugt, but for a top rating it lacks the rough edges

Ziemlich viel Zitrusfrüchte in der Nase und am Gaumen!

Kräuter und Lakritz zu Anfang, dann Holz und ein sehr trockener leicht metallischer Abgang.

Very herbal PM, which unfortunately is not to my taste.

Would the quite surprisingly fruity nose only rudimentarily reflected in taste this would probably be one of the first continental matured uitvlugts that tastes to me. But alas, it is again mostly pencil, herbs and resin, as well as wood and bitter licorice. Alcohol is relatively well integrated but fun makes me unfortunately not...
