“A rum I selected myself for a blind tasting because I wanted to taste a representative from Belize. In the aroma I smell cherries and later caramel and wood. In the taste, again cherries (there is an oloroso cask finish), wood..and alcohol..I like it, but it is definitely not a rum for beginners and I would like it even more with 48%...or if..it would stay in the cask for a few more years - for 10 or 12. The aftertaste is long, full..slight sweetness at the end. But for the price/performance ratio, great.”
