How does this rum taste?
RumX members love this New Yarmouth 1994 for its coconut‑driven profile and inviting sweet nose with vanilla and tropical fruit. On the palate, woody-caramelized notes and chocolate join the coconut, with many praising the well‑integrated 57.1% cask strength and long, warm finish. Not as complex or punchy as some NY94s, but balanced and enjoyable. A 27‑year Precious Liquors release, limited to 292 bottles, with strong community approval.

An astonishing nose of melted butter, varnished wood, overripe banana and fresh apple. Aesthetics are present but in the background. The varnished wood dominates the palate, lingering for a long time with a fair amount of bitterness. Melted butter comes next, followed by fruit. The finish is quite long, elegant and soft, with a Sherry-like quality. The alcohol is perfectly integrated.
Very good dilution chosen!
A really nice and balanced NY94, but also nothing extraordinary standing out. It seems we got spoiled a bit.
