Very American Oak driven rum. Not unlike a good bourbon. Nose: lots of American Oak driven flavours. Bit of banana. Lots of vanilla. Malt. Will compare this to a bourbon some day soon. Taste: again all the pleasant American oakiness. Baked banana. Nicely sweet. Pancakes. Cinnamon. Peppery finish. Maple syrop. All in all straightforward in a way but very very tasty. Definitely a U.S. worthy profile.
Again a lot of fresh oak barrel with clear vanilla notes. I like it a lot!
Mein erster Privateer. Erstaunlich charakterstark. Sehr kräftiger Fasseinfluss. Wirkt stärker als die 55%. Im Geruch leider schwach, hintenraus bietet er auch keine weiteren Noten. Schöner Grundstoff mit längerer Reifung ist da sicher mehr möglich.
Eine angenehm runde Sache mit voller Süße und Adstringenz vom Holz dazu eine interessante Klebstoffnote und Anklänge von Haselnuss. Hat kaum Frucht, aber viel Bourbon zu bieten - so viel, dass ich blind wahrscheinlich auf Bourbon und nicht auf Rum getippt hätte. Wer nach einem entspannten und Bourbon lastigem Sipper sucht, macht hier nichts verkehrt. 86/100 oder 6/10
