Perola Diamond Bellamy‘s Reserve MDR 2012

Messeverkostung, daher knapper: Guyana ist recht neu für mich, dementsprechend ist das hier direkt ein sehr spannender Kracher. Sehr runde Mischung aus Frucht und Würze, viel Melasse und röstigen Gewürzen. In der Nase noch fruchtiger, am Gaumen dunkler und komplex. Schön wie sich bei jedem Schluck die Nuancen ändern und immer neue Schichten durchkommen. Der wird auf jeden Fall noch in groß geordert und ausführlicher betrachtet. Nachtrag 1: Mit Zeit dafür wird's nur besser. Salzig, Karamell, unglaublich smooth und im Mundgefühl für seine Preisklasse für mich bisher ungeschlagen.

Ich hatte mit dem Gedanken gespielt mir eine Flasche zu holen, das lass ich bleiben. Irgendwie haben all diese gefärbten oder im zu stark gekohlten Fass gelagerten Rums den gleichen,alles überdeckenden Grundgeschmack, sei es dieser hier,der Woods Navy, oder Dictador20 und was weiß ich noch wer. Schade drum, hatte mir mehr erhofft. 😥

Die Nase ist wirklich toll, ordentlich dunkler Zucker, Malz, Lakritz und röstige Aromen. Am Gaumen setzt sich dies fort, relativ trocken und etwas bitter, mit herbaleren Noten. Im Abgang Tabak. Der Alkohol ist sehr gut eingebunden.

Toller Einsteiger Diamond. Super PLV. Empfehlung! Auch in der Zweitverkostung positiv.

Finally a reasonable & affordable Diamond Guyana Rum that you don't have to fight over! This is exactly the Diamond profile I like so much and the 50% is not too thin and not too strong but very tasty and drinkable! :) The aroma and taste are a beautiful harmony of dark chocolate, sea salt, strong molasses, banana bread, coffee, blackberries and dried fruit as well as plenty of spices such as candied ginger, cardamom, allspice, vanilla and nutmeg and then some tobacco, leather and bitter orange in the finish. It could have done with 5% more alcohol, but then it would have been a good deal more expensive! Incidentally, this is a "small batch" of 5 almost identical single cask diamonds, all of which had between 64-67%. PS: Makes an excellent addition to various tiki cocktails such as the Queens Park Swizzle!

Super nose and not bad on the palate. Cheap Diamond for every day and also a grenade in cocktails. PLV outstanding

Palate Balanced, lightly dry, wood, light roasted, dried fruit, light berries, light chocolate, light orange, light plum. Finish Long, wood, prunes, light chocolate, light nutts, light roasted.

Kann mich meinen Vorrednern nur anschließen, das Profil ist 1A. Sehr kräftig, typisch Diamond mit sehr schokoladigen und malzigen Noten. Interessant ist der Einfluss vom Rosinenaroma. Meiner Meinung nach ein echter Preis Leistungs Knaller

A soft mouthfeel with complex notes of dark berries, butter caramel, bitter orange and noble tobacco The aftertaste has a medium length and a slightly dry finish. A genuine Guyana rum, as you would expect and a round thing for everyone, regardless of whether you are a beginner or a connoisseur 👍

If there is no added molases in the rum, the content is realy bad

In the nose seductive syrupy molasses, but on the palate then rather rust, seems despite the strong alcohol impact taste strangely flat and one-dimensional, hardly facets. Conclusion: sweet Daily Sipper with charming nose and very good PLV, but overall nothing that leaves a lasting impression.Update 01.09.2022:Tasted just at Rum Depot, bottle was freshly opened. If you want a Guyana with 100% convincing PLV, then the. It shows again that you have to taste at least 2x to be able to judge reasonably well. Very good 83 points for this really solid rum.

Schöne dunkle Guyana Noten mit Dörrobst, Röstaromen und Moka. Viel Fasseinfluss. Der Alkohol ist am Gaume merkbar aber nicht störend. Wer das Profil mag bekommt hier ein schönen Sipper für relativ wenig Geld. Doe Flasche ist super Wertig. Gefällt mir.

Dark roasted Diamond profile on the nose. Lots of burnt sugar, dark chocolate and a hint of dried fruits. Same profile in the palate, yet smoother than the nose would like you to expect. Coffee, caramel, dark nougat and some maltiness. Very solid „coffee“ Diamond profile at a very accessible price. Also performs quite well in cocktails.

Recommended by Oliver at the 11th GRF as an introduction to Guyana. I wasn't very taken with it at the fair, but to be fair I think I still need something to warm up to Guyana. Now that I've tasted it at home, it's clear that I should have given it more time. I particularly like the finish, which develops from almost unpleasant salty-bitter notes to caramelized banana. It stays in the mouth for a long time. It's amazing how much the empty glass smells of PX sherry

After Barikenn 2012 PM another 2012 Demerara. Despite big differences, the nose also shows familiar notes: A hint of anise and the wet woodiness, something herbaceous are also my Demerara notes here. The leading notes, however, are burnt caramel, plus dried dates and raisins. The mouth is just as dark and roasty as the nose, with coffee, caramel and dried fruit. The finish is rather disappointingly short and without any new facets. It lacks depth and complexity and in my memory I liked the new El Dorado 15 a little better, perhaps a blend with some Rot Still Rum would have worked a small miracle here. A very commendable bottling, which is suitable for beginners as well as premium mixers due to its excellent PLV.
