“Rum from the Islay barrel the umpteenth. Based on the key data, something exciting could have been created here with a little less influence from the Laphroaig barrel, because the Demerara rums from Guyana often convince with an expressive profile. Here, that was probably also so, but against the extreme force of the smoke notes is just barely a way through. Personally, these finishes almost never pick me up and so far the representatives who generally meet with a positive response are also within narrow limits. Since these "Rum meets Islay" finishes are made again and again, it seems that there are lovers of this profile. Unfortunately, not my world.”
