Superb and super well done. It is excellent. Perfect balance between a fruity/ester side and a pastry/chocolate side. I loved it. Really, if it wasn't so expensive, it would be directly in my rum cellar...
An intoxicating nose! The olive joins the tropical fruits in a comforting woody. A mouth with a fresh and yellow attack. Soft and marked by stewed fruits. The finish is light but delicious.
With such a wild blend of Clarendon (Monymusk), Hampden and Long Pond you have to be skeptical at first, but I must say that the interaction of the three is extraordinarily well done! It also strikes me that the nose changes over time, at the beginning more the MM, then HD and finally the LP. The palate is also convincing: toasted aromas, complex fruit (peach, melon, pineapple) and olive. On the finish, grilled, caramelized banana.
