How does this rum taste?
Selected by Kirsch Whisky," produced at the renowned Bielle distillery, represents a premium agricole rum crafted from sugar cane juice. Distilled in 2001, this limited-edition release is aged 14 years, boasting a robust 55.7% ABV. With just 72 bottles available, it offers intoxicating aromas of cherry, florals, and honey, accompanied by complex flavors of licorice, caramel, and intense spices. Collectors and enthusiasts praise its depth, impressive integration of alcohol and woody tones, and remarkable balance of sweetness and fruitiness. While some wish for more pronounced fruity flavors on the palate, the rum remains a celebrated masterpiece, encapsulating an unparalleled agricole experience.

Expressive Bielle, whose longer maturation is clearly noticeable compared to the younger bottlings. Concise wood and spicy notes, plus somewhat heavy stone fruit and citrus aromas. A little more of the heavy fruitiness that the nose still promises could have made it to the palate to provide a more active counterpart to the barrel influence - but even so, it remains a great rum.
A very complex, intense Agricole! I am thrilled, Agricole in cask strength simply fits Tasted again today: An almost unbelievably good Agricole, full of aromas from the nose to the finish, very complex. In my opinion, the wood note is perfectly integrated!
This is a retaste for me and I stick to my initial score. It matches the other 2001 released and it's very close to the Danish release by Juuls. Fruity and floral at the same time. Very well balanced Agricole notes and the ABV is very well integrated. A rare bottle and if you get the chance and you love Agricole you should give this one a go.
Probably one of the best bielles of all time. Incredibly elegant, intense aromas of nougat, mint, eucalyptus tea and honey and not too much wood. Insane! For me, probably one of the best Bielles I have ever tasted.
