"Retasting this one and would have loved to try it at a higher ABV. Well price to quality is an absolute hammer. You get a lot for your money here. I was pleasantly surprised by this bottle. The nose is complex and well rounded with fruit, and spices trailed by chocolate, coffee and caramel. Try and leave the empty glass for a few hours and then whif it again :-) The palate is sweet and fruity with wood, spices and caramel. The finish is medium long and sweet with wood, spices and a light minty note."
"Rich, spicy and sweet - but not overly sweet. Long aftertaste"
"Overall a way too sweet rum in my opinion. Had a glass of this spiced rum after a better dinner at Såstaholms Castle just north of Stockholm. The Canerock Jamaica Spiced is pot still rum from Clarendon and Long Pond bottled by Alexandre Gabriel and Maison Ferrand. It’s infused with vanilla, coconut and ginger. Thereafter it’s aged for 6 months in PX-Sherry barrels and finally it gets a dosage of 25gpl of sugar."
"I have now significantly downgraded this rum. My last consumption was over a year ago when I still liked these sweet rums. In the meantime, this one is no longer my cup of tea. It tastes like caramel pudding."
