#4649 09.03.2024 relaxing at home with some nice samples from a good friend. Nose Wood, light roasted, plum, dried fruit, spices, sugarcane, floral. Palate Wood, light roasted, spices, intense, medium dry, plum, fruity, faint chocolate, floral. Finish Medium to long, wood, prunes, floral, light chocolate, light coffee. ABV is pretty well integrated and the rum needs to rest. The empty glass has some citrus and sugarcane.
Unfortunately I really miss some of the usual karukera characteristics in this bottling. The oak and tannines are missing completely. This is an okayish bottling but not one I would like to buy. For this money there is so much alternative out there
a very hilarious piece 👍
More powerful than the first batch. The mouth is very surprising and much more fruity than the nose. Shortly after the fruit comes the spices which quickly take over with a rather pleasant wood in the background. The finish is a little too alcoholic for my taste but quite long.
