"Light, approachable, tiptop. More bitter and surprisingly more barrel notes that come through, as with the 30 year old." - 7.6/10

"The nose is rather restrained, mainly molasses with a hint of toast. The nose is light and sweet on caramel candy. And despite the 44%, it's a little alcoholic. The nose is quite pleasant. This is a well-caramelized, dark rum with a fairly light frame. The attack on the palate is woody and toasty. The nose is not overly sweet, as expected, but rather dry and caramelized. With hints of honey, vanilla and jammy fruit. The finish is sweet again, with burnt maple syrup and spices. This is an easy and pleasant ron to drink. It's an ideal gateway into the world of rum. Obviously, with 44% under the hood, it won't get the most aficionados off the ground, but it's a Ron that gets the job done." - 7.6/10
