The Jamaican Rum DOK from the Hampden distillery is a bold and highly limited release, with only 98 bottles available. Distilled in 2009 and aged for 12 years in a sherry cask, this rum is renowned for its unique and potent ester profile coupled with complex notes of vanilla, hazelnut, and Demerara sugar. Bottled at a hefty 64.3% ABV, it delivers a powerful punch on the palate with distinct characteristics of glue, solvents, and buttery yellow fruits. Guter DOK, kein besonderer Kracher. Sherry hält sich zum Glück in Grenzen
Gut gemachter DOK, Sherry Einfluss bemerke ich ehrlich gesagt absolut gar nicht abgesehen von der Farbe. Schöne Würze, wenig Frucht, dafür intensive Haselnuss, Creme Brulee und Konfekt Noten und dezent röstig/rauchig. Im Abgang dann dezent an Kaffee und Kakao erinnernd und dann kommt wieder die volle Breitseite Klebstoff und Nagellack Entferner. Lecker und angenehm aber jetzt auch keine Offenbarung, vor allem ist der Preis von über 150€ 0,5l nicht gerechtfertigt und die Optik erinnert eher an einen 20€ Apotheken Gin als an einen hochwertigen Rum 🤷🏼♂️ Langsam kleben meine Lippen als hätte ich Fettcreme aufgetragen, fühlt sich gut an! Scheiß auf Bepanthol Lippenbalsam, gönn dir etwas DOK gegen spröde Lippen 🤣💯
