“For me on the GRF, in contrast to the 1998 Caroni from Rum Artesanal, this is by far the better of the two. Although it is again only a continental '98 Caroni, I find it one of the best from the vintage of its group from memory. And for 350€, I think it's a fair price.”

“A very powerful and complex Caroni that brings both fruity and Caroni-typical aromas to the nose and palate. The maturation is at its zenith. The only minimal point of criticism is perhaps the imperfect, but not really bad alcohol retention. Other bottlings have been a little more elegant. But that's complaining on a very high level.”
