“Ein sehr kräftiger und komplexer Caroni, der sowohl fruchtige, als auch caroni-typische Aromen in die Nase und an den Gaumen bringt. Die Reifung ist auf dem Zenit. Der einzige minimale Kritikpunkt ist vielleicht die nicht perfekte, aber auch nicht wirklich schlechte Alkoholeinbindung. Die gab es bei anderen Abfüllungen schon etwas eleganter. Aber das ist Jammern auf sehr hohem Niveau.”

“Beautiful 1998 with a typical vintage profile, aromatically diverse. In addition to the intense barrel, spice and HTR notes, this release also has a pleasant sweetness. The rum's only fault is the somewhat pungent note on the palate, which points to less than perfect alcohol integration. Overall, however, on a high level and a really good 1998 Caroni.”
