06.10.2001 Whiskymessen.dk in Kolding. Went with good friends of which most were whisky drinkers. They did have a bit of rum present and some bottles we brought for more fun. Notes. I bought one of these bottles at release and it was cheap back then. Today this bottle is very expensive and even having one at my favourite bar will make a serious dent in my creditcard. Medium dark in colour. Nose: light, fruity, plum, anise, wood. Palate: light, wood, lightly dry, plum, oily. Finish: short, wood, spice, dried fruit.
Wowza, some apple with loads of dried fruit, old grain and pimento, fresh notes of anis and varnish. On the palate it is rather straightforward, apple and young drz wood, prunes and some spices that lead the way down.. pretty damn good
... Stare Velier Demerara rumy je to nejlepsi, co v rumovem svete muzete ochutnat. Rumy zraly spise omylem nekolik let v tropech a nikdo obsah sudu nedoplnoval. Andelska dan byla 90% a vice, proto je chut obzvlaste plna a intenzivni. I kdyz se jedna o extra drahou zalezitost, doporucu alespon jednou v zivote ochutnat rum z teto serie.
